Joel performed Wondering from The Bridges of Madison County at the WTC Musical Theatre showcase. The music captures the lyrical beauty of America's heartland while the lyrics explores the eternal question of “what if?”.
The Little mermaid
Who doesn’t want to go Under the Sea? Performing the role of Sebastian, Joel was able to showcase his vocal range, stage presence and comedic timing as everyone’s favorite crustacean. From the sweet melody of Kiss the Girl to the intimate ballad If Only (Quartet), Joel brought magic to the stage in every moment as Sebastian.

Mamma Mia! With less than 2 weeks to curtain, Joel was asked to take over the role of Eddie, quickly jumping in and learning all choreo, blocking and lines, but also still carried the responsiblity as the Tenor lead for the chorus.
I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is a musical comedy lyrics by Joe DiPietro, and music by Jimmy Roberts. The members of the Musical Theatre class performed this funny, yet poignant, song series on relationships in the black box theatre at the Robinson Fine Art Center.

In his first Sondheim performance with Genesis Theatre, Joel eagerly took on a supporting ensemble character (Modern Teen). His experience working with director Megan Demsky was enriching and continued to help Joel grow as a performer and cast member.
the old man + the old moon
Serving up laughs as well as memorable lines, Joel took on the role of the Bartender in this production of “The Old Man and The Old Moon.”
In addition to the role of Bartender, Joel leveraged his rich tenor voice as a featured Ghost Singer, bringing an eerie, yet beautiful quality to the melodies.
matilda the musical
Despite the character of Mr. Wormwood in Matilda, the Musical, being considered an “unlikeable character”, Joel brought his comedy chops and bold personality to the stage in a big way and quickly became a fan favorite. Joel was so dedicated the role that he even bleached his hair so the green hair dye would be more pronounced onstage!
Recongized by his peers, he was awarded Best Musical Ensemble Character for his portrayal of Mr. Wormwood.
